EFR Primary and Secondary Care Course........... The Complete First Aid Course!
This course comprises both Basic Life Support (BLS) Primary care skills that enable a First Aider to stabilise a casualty, and Secondary Care or First Aid skills. The Secondary care skills enable a provider to offer better care for non life threatening injuiries and illnesses!
T.E.A.M First Aid Training programs are built around the International Standards of the Emergency First Response (EFR) courses. EFR courses meet the latest guidelines as laid down by The International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) and the European Resuscitation Council (ERC). All EFR programs are supported with professionally produced student manuals which enable you to learn easily as well as reference the manuals after certification.
EFR Primary Care: Basic Life support skills, and major trauma and accident management including:
- Adult CPR & Rescue breathing
- Serious Bleeding Management
- Shock Management
EFR Secondary Care: The Secondary Care follow up care for the stable responsive patient, covering secondary assessments of the patient and looking at a variety of specific illnesses and injuries:
- Illness Assessment
- Injury Assessment
- Illnesses and injuries
T.E.A.M can provide additional modules to deal with specific areas of concern. Examples of additional modules include.
- Child & Infant Primary Care
- AED use
- Emergency Oxygen use and Therapeutic gas use.
As with all T.E.A.M training, the course is taught using state of the art training materials and student manuals with DVD and video support. The comprehensive manuals are kept by the students for future reference enabling skills to be kept up to date.
This Complete course is scheduled to run over 1 day or for flexible scheduling 2 evenings. Upon successful completion all students receive a plastic wallet card / certification card!
